Axys Choking out

Bog

Are you in ethonal mode? There are some that have that issue in ethonal mode but run fine in non ethonal 91. Worked on three of them that I ride with.

You may want to start adding Torco to your fuel. Its a very reliable octane booster. http://torcoracefuel.net/

They sell it at Phillips Recreation in Fairbanks off Van Horn Rd. One ounce per gallon equals approximately 92 octane when mixed with the 90 octane gas we buy at the pump here. It may help with your DET issue. I'm interested in what you find out as I have noticed a bog/flat spot this year at elevation around 6500-7000 rpm. I am also running an MBRP can that I installed at the end of last season....

Im gonna go ride in about an hour. I'll leave the stock pipe on for this ride and see how it does. definitely starts easier already other than the hiccup when I got home. Now its like half a pull and its running. After this ride if it runs good I'll put my MBRP back on and go from there.

Seal the exhaust outlet to the belly pan

Right away when I read the thread i thought he was having a plugged exhaust problem because of deep snow. Not that I'm doubting you but how can sealing the exhaust to the belly pan have any effect on this??

Deep snow plugs the exhaust.
It floods the underhood area with oxygen deprived air. (If the can isn't sealed to the belly pan this becomes the path of least resistance)
This gets sucked into the intake tract when the hood vents are partially or completely covered in snow.
Causing a trickle down effect of bog adding to bog.

well this last ride went awesome. No bogging whatsoever. it was a little finicky starting once in awhile, just needed to give it a little gas and it was good to go. however when it did start without a hitch it was undoubtedly faster, If that's all I gotta live with from here on, I'll be ok with that. I would also say it felt stronger on the mid-high range.
Next ride will be with my MBRP on, fingers crossed that it doesn't bog with the can.

Just went out for a short ride with the MBRP, no bogging except for one time when I was WFO on the pipeline road, Hit 82mph, and it bogged for a second, more than likely overrev. I did see 8500 once while in the powder but it was only momentary and didnt bog or overrev. So For now all seems fixed.

Having the same issue with my 16 SKS, bog in mid range when carving and now when running down two tracks just cruising. Did not do this last year, only change was to put the HPS can on this year versus the SLP can I installed right from the start last year. After reading all the post, I took the HPS off and put the stock can back on. NO MORE BOG in the mid range. Planning on running the stock can for a couple more rides to verify initial results, then put the SLP back on to try that. Been driving me nuts, did all the items people have been recommending around wires, TPS, etc nothing worked...........thanks for sharing the information

rick at Phillips Recreation in Fairbanks off Van Horn Rd has the 16 pro{last I knew} and is very knowledgeable and willing to help. great guy, good prices and lots of goodies in stock almost all ways my first stop!!

seems to be running good now. Been out on a few rides with the stock can and MBRP and 0 bog or stutters. And I swear it picked up some power, at least the butt dyno says so. lol Also can the tps "wear" or fall out of spec? I have no clue how it works. And I actually stopped by phillips rec earlier today but they were closed.
