Axys 163 vs. Axys 155 ???

I am a 155 guy but took my wife's 174 out on a little sh!tholin day with a buddy on his 155. It was really deep. It was like I was riding by myself all day. I have so many pics of him stuck and still poke fun of him to this day. So yes I agree that they can't ride if a 155 has to break trail in the deep. I said before that you have to ride like a retard to get one stuck. The problem is I said that with my wife there and she did get it stuck a few times. If all you ride is super deep snow they would be great but they take the fun out of it. It is more about how than if or when. I don't want or need it easy. I will also admit that they don't seem as long as they are. I only had a couple of times where it was too long but they have enough traction that you can work something else out. Each to there own but I will stick with a 155.

"It doesn't take the fun out of it" it takes you to the next place/level. What it must just be is you 155 guys haven't seen real terrain cuz what do you do when " we're going over that hill" to start the day and the 155's absolutely just won't make it. Haven't you rolled up to a hill in 2'+ amd noticed you weren't going anywhere. Btw I haven't seen a 155 sled break trail, that wouldn't last but for about 5 minutes. 155s are always the sleds bringing up the rear.

I kinda thought my post was sticking up for most of your thoughts. I don't just bang on hills all day. Yeah I have played in some areas with a 174 that I had to wait or access a different way with my 155. Sometimes it would be nice to have two different sleds but if I had that, the 174 would sit most of the time. As far as real terrain, well, I've played on it all. Not my first time. 174 Is a little one dimensional to me. I used to have a turboed nytro that was fun but it got boring to me. It would blow up over stuff so easy and fast and I would think, alright now what. Then people would just sit and watch. I got bored plus the fact it was a heavy pig.
I would rather turbo a 155 to go the same places than buy a 174.
You like a 174 and I like a 155. It is not a right or wrong issue.

I snow checked another 155. I mulled over the 155/163 decision all winter and I have no complaints about my 16 155. A few of the other guys in my crew snow checked new 163's so I will get some seat time next year.

Older guys benefit from 163 floatation

Well it was a tough decision for me, bounced back and forth a few times but went with ordering the 163/2.6. Figured I'm not getting any younger, and my physical conditioning is not where I need it to be, to completely enjoy the 155. Not quite sure if a 163 is necessary, but what the heck, I'll try one out for a couple years and gain valuable seat time for my decision in 2019!

No it's not right or wrong, ride what you have the most fun on of course but stuff like CO POWDER writes on page 1 is just a joke. Saying a 155 axys does better than a 174 Doo in deep snow conditions is some type of mental illness with these guys cuz I think they must actually believe it as much as I've heard it this year. It's not even true that it could beat a M1000 162.
