My brother and myself were riding in the same area as them the day this happened. I seen the fellow stuck and others helping him so we continued on our way. The avalanche must of came down minutes after I seen them and did not hear about it until that evening. We returned the next morning and helped a group of people dig out the buried sled. They were not climbing on the hill but he was stuck below it. It was a small hill but steep. The avalanche didn't spread out at the bottom it just piled up against the tree line. The sled was 6-8 feet under the snow.

well if there was no sign of trouble and just a routine helping a buddy get unstuck and then the slide happening after the fact I still don't understand the hero details..??..I could see someone exposing themselves knowingly to an avalance to get someone out of the way being someone who completed a heroic feat...so is that the way it went down..??..

I reckon only the buddy who was stuck knows the real last moments..

Or me his brother who was there maybe one day I'll tell the story to the general pop but for now the papers will tell the stories
