Avy conditions out there....

In case you missed it 2 avy's on highway 20 just below the junction with 22, over the road yesterday. When is the last time we have heard of that happening?

Check avy forecast where you ride, and be prepared out there.

The last time an avy closed that highway was the week of Christmas 1998. We drove over to Black Butte (from Salem) on Christmas day that year. We were the first ones through and it was NARROW!! Sort of eerie too....

HooDoo Ski Bowl's page says that the road is good and cleared now.

With all the light dry snow we are getting here in eastern OR it's scary out there.

However doesn't include areas south of Hood. All other links I've used in previous years to the rest of the state are dead. Grrrr....

If conditions on Hood are an indicator, Avy conditions continue to be HUGE going into the weekend.
