Avs win first game

Good game. Probably should have never went to overtime, but we'll take it. Can't wait till Friday when we make it a 2-0 lead in the series.:beer;

Parrish ate it big time (poor guy!) :eek:

It was a pretty good game i thought except Minn did somethings that cost them a little bit but, game 2 will be better :D

I was at that game last night, and they just didn't play the Av's tight in our own end. It took the guys until the top of the circle before they got off their butts to get in their faces.

I saw this early in the first period and I knew they would control the puck down low. They never tightened that part of the game up. That is what cost us the game.

GEt that part of the game taken care of, and we will take them.........

No they won't...to bad I was looking forward to watching the FLAMES trash them in the next round...:D

I knew I could count on you Fab to get on this thread and trash our beloved Wild.

Hehehe

Shots on goal were lopsided in our favor, the puck was down in the avs end for most of the game. They played pretty good overall, but they just need to tighten up when the Avs come across the blue line and we take this series.

MN will dominate the rest of the series plain and simple. Calgary will still flop against the sharks.

I wish I would have had my phone on my because I missed my uncle calling asking if I wanted to go to the game. DAMMIT!

Oh well he told me about the next game GO WILD!

I went dirtbiking and was so tired. I only made it through the first period before I was out. So I did not get to watch the whole game.

did peter forskin play for the avs last night....i really hope the avs and the ducks don't win....i hate rental players for a part of the season .(foreskin, scott neidermier(i spelled it wrong) and selanne...

GO FLYERS!!!!:beer;

Shots were in your favor because of all the power plays you guys had. The Avs were a much better team 5 on 5 than MN. You will be lucky if you win two games. The Avs are the least penalized team in the NHL. There were some pretty sorry calls and this won't happen in the next game. I predict this series will be over in 6 games.

They both have been. Avs loked lazy late. Forsbergs line was tired and couldn't clear the puck late and that led to the Wild's second goal. It will be a good series. Teams match up well.

Fabster - double or nothing on the XR?

The wager probably goes without saying, but since you were spouting off about it being too bad about the Wild and how it 'would' have been nice to see a second round matchup with the Flamers, I figured I'd take a moment to remind you that you've been mistaken about this team before.

Heck, if we wouldn't have had to play 24 without Koivu the division wouldn't have come down to the last game against Iginla and company. F'n 'nucks

I know the Av's are saying the same thing about missing Sakic. Not my problem http://www.snowest.com/forum/images/smilies/beer.gif

Given the challenges we now have at the blue line (missing Foster & Schulz and having Skoula), this is a team of destiny if they can make a serious run. A little karma and a goalie standing on his head can go a long way, ala the Ducks in '03.

Long message to say you just do your own homework and get your team here for the second round. I'll enjoy drinking two bottles of crown when all is said and done.

The ticket offer still stands - you can even put the two bottles of XR in escrow stateside so you don't have to worry about the shipping!

GO WILD!

WILD win!!!!

So do the Avs just never get called for interference?

Your not kidding!!

I think I saw some of the Avs players stuffing the refs pockets with $100 dollar bills.............

The refs were bought and paid for in game two...........

HAHAHAHAHA. Some people make me laugh. Bad calls go both ways. You always tend to see the one that were not called for your team. This has been a good series so far. I just don't think that MN has a good enough team to beat CO. But this is hockey and the most talented team dose not always win. Its usually who wants it more.
