Avid vs Iceage Extended chaincases.

I'm just wondering the differences between the two for a 12 Pro, where with the Iceage you don't need to move your suspension down and back to match the chaincase like you do with the Avid. Or can a person do the same using the Avid also? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thks.

Hmm not sure, I was looking at both sometime ago but decided to not go that route due to the fact of changing the sleds geometry. Now that I re-read the iceage product description it states no suspension change. I am guessing it is a lesser 'drop and roll' that would allow the clearance required to run a 8 tooth 3" pitch driver and track, but keeping the suspension in place and altering attack angle?

I did a CMX belt drive for a drop and roll. I did not have to move my suspension. I am running a timbersled, not sure what difference from stock skid. The drop and roll is 1" down and back which is the same as Iceage and Avid I believe.

Im currently installing the Iceage drop in roll because I didnt want to change the sleds geometry as well. Drop and roll with 7 tooth drivers. So far everything is going good. Just waiting on some dang glue to get here... Ill try and snap some pics real quick.

Iceage doesnt mention about re-glueing anything. Im going to glue the new chaincase back on as well as the new drive pickup housing relocater...

This is the only thing I dont like. Not much meat there any more. To the right of my finger the tunnel actually split when I was cutting it.

No cutting required on the chaincase side!

I've actually installed the Avid chaincase on mine but I like the idea of keeping the suspension in the stock position to keep the "flickability" intact, and by moving the suspension I have noticed a loss in that area. I'm wondering if there is enough room to install 9T drivers and put the suspension back in the stock location without any difficulties? Good update on the install by the way JoNEs34!!!
