aviation gas

avgas is about the most stable fuel there is. I have seen graphs on how it burns in different temps and elevation/altutudes and the line is pretty flat. Meaning it's very stable and predictable. It has to be because of the wide range that an airplane flies in.
Have only ran it in an EFI sled but have had no problems whatsoever. It is typically half the price of race gas too. I wouldn't run it in anything with valves though.

Ive run it in my race sled with no changes to the stock motor, so lowcomp heads and everything, Ive even did the mix from half and half to full AV gas and just found that the sled ran cleaner, Also where i live AV gas and premuim are just about the same price for a 45gallon. I just used it cause its a colder fuel but not much its normally around 100-103octane from talking to the Av machanics.

What are you paying for it?

I can get 110 down here for 385 bucks for a 55 Gal barrel. Its signifigantly cheaper when you buy it with your own container from bulk.

running av gas

I have an 08 800 dragon with the BD PG turbo kit with the mini cooler. For the last two years I've been using VP C12 and premium mix. This year I have been running straight av gas with boost at 8 - 10 psi. I had to lean out my hi psi # 1. It runs great. I don't see or feel any difference. I am paying $1.57 a liter for it. My egt's are just under 1300 degrees and pulls hard. I was a little leary about using it to but so far it works good for me.
