Actually that video isn't the same slide. Two slides with two guys buried neck deep in Wyoming the same day.

Yep different slide this one was about 20 miles north of the video slide

The slide that Willy posted was just north of Alpine in the Indian Creek area.

The Honey Badger video from Tetongravity was down by Poison Meadows, south of Coffin and Wyoming Peak (further south of Alpine, near Afton). Wind loaded, not the first time that's slid. Dude didn't pull his ABS bag. Also got strained through a rock/tree ledge, must have ragdolled close to 800 ft. Lucky dude, and he could have had his head torn off and not just partially buried. Don't know if he was hurt. That entire slope went with him in the middle, and if you look closely, there is a sympathetic slide on the slope 500ft to the left, released from his slide. Like the slope was hit with a charge. wow.

Why didn't you pull your bag?

Avy training by the guys doing the digging saved his life.....Avy bags can't always be counted on weather it was a malfunction or the guy was in panic mod you can't rely on them to save your life.
