Av gas or C12 ?

The question becomes, if you run 100% 100ll av gas is it 98 octane??? I know race fuel is better, thats not the point, as av gas is quite reasonable. I ran it in my boats for years, the best was the "green" 110/130 high lead. As good as C12 on the boost or nitrous. But now its only the 100 ll.

So lets say you are running 11-1 at 8 lbs on 92 with no issues, you can run 14 lbs on 100% C12,18 lba on C16 what can you run safe on 100% 100 ll??

Oh we also always dumped some 2 stroke oil in the av gas as it is so dry

octane boost additives?

Has anybody used any octane boost additives in there two stroke sleds? How about in a turboed two stroke sled? I have been running c12/premium mix in my td8, works good. If we could cut the cost of each fill up that would help.

ridgeclimber the problem with octane additives is how hard it is to be consistent with the mixture. You could but would have to premix to make sure you get it right. More is not better when it comes to adding boosters to gas.
