ATV's forward or sideways on trailer?

Don't know about you, but I sure dont like using a winch as a tie down. Pretty hard on the brake I think....lots of jarring.. rather use a $10 tie down than a $300 winch.

I really like the who cares part! Is your next thread going to be why some people load skidsteers forwards and some backwards? I mean, 1 more pointless thread couldn't hurt :D

That or how about lets load snowmobiles side by side in the back of the pickup. This way you don't have to worry about having the tailgate up or down. All you have to do is go down to the DOT and buy an oversize permit since the load will be wider than what is legal. Of course you will have to put oversize signs on the front and back of your pickup as well. Hmmm, it may be cheaper than licensing and insuring a trailer...........just might work.

Then again I think I'll second the idea that I just wasted five minutes of my life reading this worthless thread. At least I could be a smarta$$ to make up for some of my wasted five minutes.

Permits would work but you may need to be commercial to get them. I don't know if the general public can get them? May need a DOT number?

It's not pointless, you want to read pointless threads read about which oil works, or when a thread will max out, or how to remove graphics etc. There are a lot of pointless things on this site but the fact of the matter is all of you have read them and continue to do so. Plain and simple. It's what makes this site so entertaining.

poor RJ seems like you have a lot of time to question and when you a get an answer you still ***** and complain.
I don't have a trailer, but have a sled deck on the back of a 1 ton. It is easy loading either driving straight up or on the side. no biggy. Have you tried backing a quad backwards off of 4.5 ft ramp. very dangerous, can't see ramp or tires. Loading from the side is just as easy, only when you unload you simply drive down the ramp and you can then see where your wheels are.

Poop that was easy.

yawn.......
