Well went on the polaris.ca website and see they are offering 3 year bumper to bumper warranty on the 2015s. That is good for new buyers, but I feel it has devalued the snowcheck models, which has 1 year factory and 1 year powertrain. This is the first Polaris and my first snowcheck (usually buy off the floor). I thought that the deal at snowcheck is supposed to be better! I know you get bags and some other stuff (would never buy that stuff, but is free and going to be non-current probably next year), but that does not help the resale of the le when the regular sleds have more warranty. Looks like the le sleds will be worth less than a standard sled. Really excited to get my sled, but this has made me upset and questioning my decision. Snowcheck=better warranty guess not anymore. Should help Cat and Doo spring orders next year imo. Was a tough decision on a snowcheck appears I might have made the wrong decision.

Warranty has never affected my decision on buying a used sled.
And when you go to sell it, There is always a few guys asking $2000 less then what you want to get for your sled anyway. That's what drives the value down the most.

Maybe not your decision, but for many it is a big seller. You may not be able to get much more, but it will sell easier. Sleds break and parts aren't cheap, most consumers are aware of this. My point is snowcheck is supposed to be better for the consumer. Guess if there into storage on a mountain sled its better.

They did offer a TON of free stuff on the snowcheck. The warranty being 1 year less doesn't seem like a deal breaker to me. It is also not uncommon for Polaris to have odd warranty set ups. Last year a holdover '13 was availible with a 3 year but the current '14 was only 2 year and changes were minimal between the two.

Talk to your dealer, get him to make you a deal on another years coverage if it is that important.

comparison

Snowcheck a Terrain Dominator= 1 year factory+1 year powertrain.
Off the floor Terrain Dominator= 3 year bumper to bumper.
Not sure if I am missing anything. Doesn't look like a good deal to me, but I am sure a few will try to say otherwise.

Do you have something from your dealer that shows only one year warranty? (if you do, could you post a photo of that).\

Might be different in Canada??

I could very well be wrong... but... As far as I know... all the 2015 SnowChecks come with 3 year warranty... unless you worked out a discount on the sled with your dealer that reduced the warranty period.

Canadian snowcheckers (Cdn). You are showing the US offer. US offer was better than the Cdn offer.

I couldn't agree more with POWWOW. I snow checked an RMK and I'm really unhappy that people who snow checked don't get the better overall deal for committing the earliest.

I called Polaris and my dealer and they both told me, tough luck and it is what it is.

All Canadian snow check customers should be mad as hell! The season hasn't even started and other Canadian consumers are getting a better warranty than those of us who committed first.

Very poor business practice to those of us who have been loyal and were first to buck up the money.

I don't expect Polaris to correct the problem with their Canadian customers, they seemed to care less on the phone. This may inspire me to do more to bring this disparity to light.

If Polaris wants to treat their snow check customers this way, then what's the point in snow checking if the deal can be better before the season even starts??

could be worse.like riding a old used POS this winter:)

Well the M8 i still have isn't a POS. I figured I would hold on to it until I got the new sled. Might be riding it instead. Think Polaris would like a hole lot of snowchecks sitting at there dealers. Might be hard for the dealers to sell all those snowchecks and there regular inventory! Understanding the XMs rise in popularity one would think that Polaris would try to keep the people who are supporting them somewhat happy. The feeling of being ripped off before the season even starts or the sled arrives does not sit well. Snowcheck choice wasn't clear in the spring, but this easily could of eliminated one of the choices. Feeling ripped before it even arrives.

maybe polaris thinks years are different in the metric system?:face-icon-small-win just joking.

i would be pretty upset if i was in the same position. Personally, i'd have to ride it and feel like i got my extra warranty out of the fun.

I think you have every right to be upset, I would be too... bare minimum I would think Polaris should upgrade the snowchecks to the same warranty as what they offer to those sold on the floor, especially prior to the start of the season...
