So i was hauling a tractor from my shop to my house the other night to get ready to move some snow. Had my 35 ft. gooseneck hooked up and was going to bring it back to my shop the next morning. So i figure i will park my pickup outside for the night instead of unhooking the trailer and just plug it in. I have never plugged this pickup in because it is always in a heated garage. So i grab my extension cord and open the hood to plug it in. Can't find the block heater cord, hmm, so i get on my back in the snow and start fishing around under my pickup figuring it is tied up somewhere dumb. well after 45 minutes in the dark with a flashlight laying in the snow i said forget it and went in the house. Got to the shop the next morning and decided to find this damn cord if it's the only thing i do that day. Look and look and look some more. Can't find it. Call my parts dealer and ask where this damn thing is at. Parts guy says: It's a 6.7 cummins right? Yep i say. Oh, well that only comes with the block heater, the cord for it is an accessory. WHAT?!! You got to be kidding me. Well he wasn't, got the cord today for it. what a joke. They can't even put a $20 cord on a diesel pickup. What's wrong with this picture. So any way, if you own a 6.7 cummins and plan to plug it in, better make sure you have a cord. Rant Over.
