Assualt Vs Pro. Rear skid?

is there any difference in the rails between the assualt and the Pro. i kno the older ones use to have stiffeners on them but do the new assualts?

reason i ask is that i have a rail starting to bend. guess i should ride it as a rmk not a shorty race sled. so im thinking of adding some cross shafts and the side stiffeners.

Cant find a parts fishe that has the 2011's on it to look if any one has one please link it.

Sweet thanks. the part numbers are different. ugh looks like i gotta find some one with a assualt and compare.

no...but the bar that the limiter strap is connected to is bolted lower in the tunnel I see...that might be the reason why I am having such terrible ski-lift issues...but the rails are identical...there is an additional cross brace however

Nope but I have 2 sets of 155" pro rails coming, one for myself..and one for whoever bends a set first and needs them

pm me some prices yo.. im beating the crap outta this thing alrdy. makes me miss my iqr

on the inside of the tunnel there is a steel plate remove ur skid and drill out the top hole and move the skid up about an inch should help with ur ski lift issues a great deal.

not to hi-jack the thread or anything... but does moving the front mount to the upper location make the rear skid feel/act softer? Or does it just add ski pressure and change the attack angle? I have a sb assault and I moved the front mounting holes to the upper ones and the rear skid feels softer than before... or is it all in my head?

i couldnt tell u i would think it might make the inital part softer by changing the rail angle so putting more on the rear shock. i could be way off tho.

thats what I was thinking... more preload on the rear shock and springs starting off with... thanks, ok tho :focus:

My experience is that moving the FTA to the upper hole will soften the FT shock action a bunch - basically, it will bottom more at the same rezzy setting.

On the stock RMK rails, there is a set of holes to install an Assault cross shaft to prevent rail beam bending. The holes are just aft of the rubber baby buggy bumper on the rails.

yep...already on it...hopefully it does the trick...i suspect it will
