Assault vs RMK width in the mountains

Found an assault 155 with a 5.1 track, just wondering how guys are finding the extra width and what ski setting guys are using, both on the assault and on the rmk. If guys are using the widest setting on the rmk's then they are basically the same. Just curious what people are finding to be ideal.
Thanks

I run mine right in the middle (stock) on my Assault. I was avidly against wider front ends on sleds due to how bad it sucked on my 2007 Rev. Because of that I was sketched out a little on deciding to go with the Assault. But honestly I Love it on this sled, still dives into the snow and sidehills like a dream!! It's also nice to have just a little bit more stability when cornering and jumping :)

the narrower ski stance makes it easier to fit through tight places if your a tree rider. but heck half the time the trees still aren't far enough apart so i have to get up on one ski to get through anyway:)

Is that what you "crazy" tree riders are doin' these days? Setting your skis to the most narrow position so that you can fit with both skis on the snow? Haha...

I have a 55 Pro, but I also spend a lot of seat time on my friends Turbo Assault. The assaults wider front end can only be noticed in hard pack or low snow conditions for me. In deep pow is handles and turns just as easy as the pro.
