Assault shock setup.

I have an 09 assault i'm planning to pass down to my girl and getting myself a new one. I put the 2010 needle front shocks on it and i'm looking for a setup that will work for both her, and I. I didn't mind the stock valving, but i'm sure it will be a little stiff for her. I want somthing that will work for me, but that she will be able to ride and not hate it. I'll still be using it as my home sled for pretty much every type of riding and she'll mostly be trail riding it. She's about 120-125 and i'm 185. Any ideas would be great.

Call up Max at Tri City Polaris ... He has a handle on these superb shocks probably better than anyone.

The rear should be taken care of a bit as well. He'll know just what to do and has a stellar reputation for getting these things done.

I just gave them a call. Max was not in but another tech named Derrick told me that they used to do that but they started having problems with bleeding, etc so now any shocks they get they now send to Randy at Walker Evans. 1-888-933-7223

I also talked to Carl's Cycles and they have a couple of options. To get the fronts rebuilt and revalved to your style and weight is about $220. For $80 they put a FOX piston in it. They say the new piston helps quite a bit but the stock ($220) works well as well. They said you can do all four but the front is really where the issue is.
