Assault rail braces on pro 163?

Had my mind dead set on snowchecking an orange 163. After talking to a couple other guys they claim they are bending the rails when riding back home, ND (ditchbanging). Heres my questions #1. How much easier (if at all) are these rails going to bend than a 155 #2. As far as i know the only thing the assault has different than the pro rmk on the rails is a simple bolt on brace? Correct? Can i add this to my 163 and eliminate my worries?

no braces on my 163, love it, wouldnt have it any other way. No bends, and I havent heard of anyone that is having issues of bending.

you could definately add the brace to help prevent bending. But I think for the most part guys are not having issue with the 163 rails bending.

The assault doesnt come with any extra bracing, I have a 155 assault and did bend my rails. They have been replaced with iceage rails now with a brace and two extra cross braces. I would recommend to anyone who rides hard and jumps or beats the bumps on the trail to the deep buy ice age braces, they will fit on the stock rails.

I have made my own rail braces in the past and turned my own cross shafts too, can be done with items found at a GOOD hardware store....

The assault does come with an extra rail brace. It looks like it is only about $15. I have been using the Holz Rail Braces. They are easy to install and I haven't bent mine yet.

the 163s back home have all slightly tweaked their rails. The assault has the extra cross brace but that is it. Im putting an actual set of side braces along with the cross brace on my 163 after i straighten the rail

I ride the bag off my Pro163 and have bent my rails. Man you would have to land pretty hard on an angle to bend these rails or land straight on the ends real hard. My neighbour bent his rails on his Pro 155 but he shoots out of a drift and lands straight on the end every time on hard packed ground. He should learn to pull a long wheelie instead. I think the Assaults have an extra cross brace so I ordered on but haven't installed it yet. To busy doing spring riding in the water.
