Assault A-arms

So last winter i was sledding and clipped a log under the snow on the top of my spindle so it pushed the stock upper arm on the right side back and actually snapped my shock shaft in half. The shock shaft actually had been broken half through long enough for it to rust! Polaris replaced it under warranty thankfully but has anyone else had that?

I see a few other threads about aftermarket a arms, I know that the stock arms on my assault are made of twizzlers, I carry a full set of spare arms with me in the trailer since I'm apparently hard on stock arms. I have thought of heavy duty arms but I'm worried about transferring too much force into the bulkhead, is it a legit fear or should I be getting big arms too?

i had z bros until last year. went to alt impact arms and really like them. they have a heim on the lowers like the uppers but bigger. They claim you will usually bend or break the heim before the arm.

With either the zbros or the other arms have you bent them at all yet? I kinda see the a-arms as an engineered weak point to save the bulkhead. Just wondering if its tough enough to take a beating riding through the trees all day.

Zbroz

Love mine.
Bent three stockers before i bought.
Carry a spare upper ball joint with me.
That is the new weakest link. Cheap and easy to change.
No bulkhead issues with big rock hits in crashers pass.

Well that's exactly what I wanted to hear, it's getting pretty old and pretty expensive changing these stock arms. Looks like I'll be investing in a different brand. Thanks a lot.
