Asphalt Drag Tips

100 feet' sitting back on the launch and tucking in when they come down. They don't come but a foot maximum off of the ground at launch and it only packs them 3-4 inches off the ground afterwards. Stand at the back of the running boards and it will drag the rear bumper at least 20 feet and pack 'em real high for a long ways. Always wanted to try that off of the starting line but don't know if they would frown upon that or not.

Very interesting that you are running a '96 Ultra RMK. Thats what I have, with a 800 HTG BB kit.

The Helix I tried this weekend improved my times by a touch, not a whole lot, tried some 110 AV Gas (between Time Trials and Eliminations) and it bogged at the far end of the track and did nothing but hurt my times and screwed over any wins I might have had. First round I even pulled an .039 reaction. That would've won if it wasn't for the bog! Guess I'll dump the gas in my truck.

That is funny we run the same chassis. I have a storm motor with a 925 big bore in it for now. What gearing you runnin? Im 21 39 with 8 inch drivers. I think i need to loosin my rear springs some cause my front end is only comin up 6 or so inches off the start and is on the ground in about 50 feet right now, and im still spinnin pretty good off the line. So i think if i loosin up the rear springs so it will stick harder and pull up a little higher and hold it longer, which would mean it transfers more i belive

Jayson, Why don't you enter that water cross race they are having in Billings on the 8 & 9 of August. With that 174 in. track you might be able to keep it afloat. Or at least get that engine compartment cleaned up some.

I wanna watch the water-x but that's also my last drag weekend too. Decisions, decisions

What kind of 1/4 miles times are you guys running? Transfer is good off the line but you only want 3 - 5 inches of lift max, then have it sit back down and be flat. Also, check the weight on the front and rear of the track and get that to balance out = be equal.

currently dialing in a turbo'd apex running 8.4's at 165MPH+ and haven't made a full pass yet.

13.8's and something isn't right cuz I used to run an 11.3-11.8. I got slightly slower over the last 4 years. I plan on turning that around tho!

Your turbo is Faassstttt!! I used to run against a RX1 turbo with NOS, kick his *** about 3/4 of the way before he went flying past me. It was fun.

Why are you running such small drivers? If I figure this right you aren't even geared for 100 mph
