Armadillo fuel bags

I've got a 3 gallon that I throw in my Razor XP Pro, Slides right into a nook behind the passenger seat. I bought all the straps with mine. Though Sometimes I wish I had the 5 gallon, I don't think it would stow as convenient and concealed as the 3. I think I would run the straps under my burandt bag and dump the fuel in the gas tank as soon as possible even if it's just a gallon at a time. Roll it up and stuff it into a bag after empty. Simple and convenient.

I don't know what Polaris is thinking, but I'd just get a linq bracket and run the brp gas can.

I have yet to run out of gas. I've run low, but I'm far too out of shape to ride that long and hard that I actually run out.

If we get some deep days I plan to use my 3 gallon using GL straps to the toe holds and from the handle of the bag to the mounting point for my polaris bag so the weight is on the seat. Either get to location and unload it or dump it in then roll it up. if it’s deep enough for extra fuel I’m not sitting anyway and keeps it off the tunnel. One could also strap it around the polaris bag, but I don’t think I would trust the rear plastic prongs with an extra 20lbs bouncing.

I've never really got that phenomenon. So many of you goofy old bastards pack fuel in our area. I see it day in and day out and I guarantee in our area they don't need it. Is it like some kind of badge of wealth? That you can afford a $165 gas can that has 3 gallons of our $5.75 premium non-ethanol in it? Or is that your guys excuse for sucking because you have to pack all that extra weight?? ?

or tahoe right now lol

Been a while since I’ve been down there but you could be right. Last time down, we did have to pack fuel 2nd/3rd day. So deep.
BC just has much bigger country. My Biden Av fuel doesn’t go as far up there. Energy levels are higher? Maybe it’s the off the hook, Canadian Stoner competition? They get stoned and go bat **** crazy.

We just get set in our ways of the old days. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best. My NA 850 sips fuel from a teacup where my 96 680 Ultra RMK guzzles like the big frat guy nobody invites to parties because he’ll drink a case like nothing. It only takes once in your life, out of fuel in the dark woods alone to make sure it doesn’t happen again. That said I have yet to pack in fuel or oil on a newer sled or drive some of the distances like when I lived back east (265 miles within 24hrs my furthest on a MC 800, 20yrs ago).

I pack gas because I want to ride more than 30 ish miles. (I’m always going and burn more gas than anyone in our group)

Dump in the 3.3 after 10-12 miles and keep ripping.

Never mind Chilly. 2 things that are fact: Washington area riding sucks enough that you don’t need extra fuel with todays sleds (especially where he likes to ride) and: it’s obvious he never rode carbureted sleds.

Oh I’ve ridden in Washington.
85-95% of the time snow sux. (Best is hot pow afternoon rides)
5-15% really good riding in super deep snow.

My last ride of last year I ran out far from the truck. Had to siphon from a buddy and was on fumes again by the time we hit the parking lot.
What really sucked it was the coldest day of the season, sub zero trying to siphon fuel sucks.
I have used the craiggerbuilt system for years, have the option for a gas can or storage bag depending on the days ride.
Have to drill a few holes but no problem on the boost.

I just bought the 2 gallon and 3 gallon armadillo bags. Looks like the 2 gallon might fit under the large Burandt cover or either of them can strap right on top of the bag up against the seat.
I haven’t used them yet, but I’m very happy with this purchase. Commonly we do loops so I can’t just stash my gas can somewhere. These armadillo bags will roll up after you use them and be easy to pack away. They have loads of daisychains to tie it almost anyway. There’s only been a couple days that ended short (certain snow conditions burn up the fuel more than others.)with my ‘22 165 boost but I don’t want that to happen again. I used to pack all kinds of gas cans but I am stoked with keeping the lock and ride system not Linq.
