ARE YOU BREAKING/STRETCHING EXHAUST SPRINGS?

Polaris has upgraded the exhaust pipe-to-Y springs to shotpeened Stainless steel units on the PRO-RMK's.. These are the same length as the springs on the Y-pipe of the IQ's as well.

The shotpeening stress relieves and "toughens" the springs so the are less prone to breakage... the stainless is more resistant to fatigue/stretching.

Price is about $2 each.

Whatever spring you use, put some silicone on them to dampen the vibrations. This will make the springs last even longer as well as prevent them from wearing out the loops on the pipe loops.

Kevin at mountian magic sports has some titanium springs that are pretty awesome. No need to double up.

They sure are fun to take off though...
