Are you brand loyal or a ship jumper?

i have always been a Doo fan! the things that kept me with Doo were user friendlyness...and always had good dealers! i have defected twice...and twice have been bitten!

i know Doo went a bit downhill with reliability issuse on the 08's..i have faith they will recover! now if they really went downhill..i would have no problem looking at other options!

so for now...the yellow panties stay on!!lol:D

Not brand loyal at all.
Have owned them all, and for mountain sleds, Doo is the standard that the others are trying to shoot for...........for now..........things do change.

Was riding Polaris for 21 years straight up until ten day ago when I ate some of those cookies from the dark side. Now there is a great big pumpkin in the stables.

We're annoying ? What could be more annoying than lime green clothes ? Seriously I am considering an 09 Arctic PLR (parking lot racer), if there is somebody racing back and forth through a crowded parking lot you can bet it is lime green, but boy are they impressive in the lot, GO DITCH BOOGER !

See what i mean!:D

haha, and i dont want to be associated with the guys in purple checkered jackets listening to poison in the parking lot!!!:D:D

but on a serious note, i buy whatever looks good as well when it comes to machines....

Dito another one. They are like a pack of little Poodles’:D

First sled was a 399 TNT with homemade expansion chambers early 70,s. Damn chambers came out the running boards melted my boots every time I rode it.Then I went to a 630 polaris mustang, chain case snapped off just about every time I rode it. Then I had a Boldens Diablo Rouge, there was a couch that hooked on to the motor with 2 tracks,it was a pos. Then a yamaha xl 540 2 seater, good sled. Then a yamaha lc 570 exciter, very good sled. Then a Arctic Cat zrt 600 fun and fast. and now back to a Polaris RMK and I love it, awsome sled. So I guess I would say I'm not brand loyal,I like them all!!! I think my next sled is going to be a turboed yamaha.

I'll switch any year to whatever brand has got the goods.

I do miss all the sweet Arctic cat green tho.

If that new 600 Sno X chassis comes with a 1000cc, i'd be all over that.

Me too , i cant get enough of that green . Black and green and nothing else. But i did grow up on an RM 80 , with a big red S on the the front fender. I might be a bit brand loyal , i like those two colors .

I've ridden all four major brands, for 37 yrs, switching back and forth and will switch again when needed, Xp for now---Ken

I grew up on Polaris, but back in the mid-80's we bought a couple Yamaha's which were decent but had no power. So for the last 19 model years it has been all Polaris for me. My dad did have an '01 700Doo which was pretty decent when it ran right. I used it one trip and liked the power but not the suspension. Now I am in love with the IQ RMK chassis, it flat out works and over 1k miles of trouble free riding. I'll buy another this fall.

I grew up with Cats, 440's with the gas tank in the back! I ran a paper route using an Elan and a Nordic 377!(Ski-Doos) I spent years working on the cats when I got older trying to keep them running but I think they just got too old. Then we got an Indy Sport, much too my dissapointment as I really wanted a Ski Doo MX( the grey ones or a formula red one!) but that thing was amazing compared to the older sleds we used! Nowadays I wouldn't buy anything other than a Ski-Doo, mainly because of chassis. Ski-Doo has the most progressive chassis out there for all around riding. The other brands have good chassis but not as good all around. When a 60 year old man can jump onto an XP and ride like he's been riding all his life again(after being on a RMK that rode him!) and ride day after day it says alot! It was hard to be brand loyal but with the introduction of the Rev and now the XP why would anyone want to ride anything else!!!

It's your coin

I don't how anyone could be so brand loyal that you would stick with it through 3..4...5...??? bad yrs. at these prices. If Im going to chunk out 10-12k Im gonna get something I enjoy, although there is something to be said for good service, relationship, from a local shop.

I will ride whatever keeps me on the mountain the most. I have been pretty happy about my summit. Have been trying to decide m8,d8, or summitx. I am not going to snow check so I have a while to dream.

me brand loyal? nope.

I never did like Polaris's IQ, or the REV ...but that all changed when i got to ride both chassis..

im a cat fan but, ride a 'doo..

my next sled will be either an M or an IQ... hmm..

no, i do not like 4-strokes.

Like the title states, are you brand loyal?

Does brand loyality help the industry?

Or does jumping ship help keep the industry on its toes?

I find myself rooting for Arctic Cat every since I bought an M8 in 07, never used to give AC a second thought but ownership breeds loyalism imo. I used to be a Yamaha fan, but I'm not into the turbo thing (yet) and my pocket book won't support a family + a 30K sled lol So I gave AC a look and now I might be hooked!

Now I'm thinking on snowchecking a new 09 M8 LE if I can get the numbers to work.

I find myself being more and more AC loyal (except AC quads, they suck :D )

Zero Brand loyalty...go for best product...best power, best handling etc. etc.

it is the brands job to earn loyalty, and if they lose their way, we tell them by not buying fdrom them....

I guess I am brand Loyal but that is because of our dealer. They treat us really well. I got a skidoo and finding service has been really tough. I would not buy another doo just for that reason. I'm not a mechanic and don't have the time to spend trying to fix my sled so a dealer is a big part of what I choose. Oh yeah our dealer has tried to get us on a Cat but I don't like the feel of them so we stick to Yamaha.

Got introduced to sleddin in the late 70s when I married into a sleddin family. I always rode what they didn't want to like the 340 colt chassis with the 800 fuji with megaphones or the Brut (triple with running board coolers and about 800lbs) or even the Harley single - think it was a 250.

That didn't last long and I went back to skiing. Couple years ago I bought a 93 ext and relearned to ride. Soon outrode it and bought a 800 rmk in 05. It's been reliable so far and takes me places I never thot. Every year I build it a little more. Couple more years and I'll shop around, but prolly look at Poo first - family pressure.:o

I'm so loyal that last season I owned a Cat, Yami and a Doo. The year before a Polaris and a Cat. That's the only real way to find out what is truly the best sled.....and that's why I am sticking with Doo for now. :beer;
