Are you brand loyal or a ship jumper?

Like the title states, are you brand loyal?

Does brand loyality help the industry?

Or does jumping ship help keep the industry on its toes?

I find myself rooting for Arctic Cat every since I bought an M8 in 07, never used to give AC a second thought but ownership breeds loyalism imo. I used to be a Yamaha fan, but I'm not into the turbo thing (yet) and my pocket book won't support a family + a 30K sled lol So I gave AC a look and now I might be hooked!

Now I'm thinking on snowchecking a new 09 M8 LE if I can get the numbers to work.

I find myself being more and more AC loyal (except AC quads, they suck :D )

If something always let's you down and you are in a constant state of denial as to the root of the problem,your' elevator is stopping a few floor's from the top! :cool::beer;

personally, i think if you are blindly brand loyal you are pretty stupid! there IS better stuff out there besides brand X or Y and too many people have the blinders on. take em' off you might be surprised!

19 years a cat fan....only reason was that they were open later then the other dealers on xmas eve 19 years ago and me and a buddy wanted a sled for xmas....so two super jags that evening and many many more AC as l also had two boys a wife who sledded over the years...l have never looked at other brands since but had Polaris and Ski-doo earlier.. have been very happy with Cat...l have worked with and at Yamaha....l think they are all good brands...but something just a bit extra with the Cats...cant beat the fit and finish of Yamaha but they just still don't meet expectations...19 years ago if Polaris was open later l would be riding a Dragon now..???..so yep guilty of possibly blinders..

Loyal Polaris guy! Currently own 4 of them.......but,
something strange happened in December, while minding my own business
one morning, I found myself driving past Slim's place,,,just so happened
that he was tweaking SnJo's XP, against my better judgement, I took it
for a spin out in the field......well, as luck would have it I found myself
at RMS a short while later and BOOM, now have an XP in the stable:o

weird huh? Now if I could just find where the bank lost the 10k out of
my checking acct?:confused:

I agree all the brands these days are decent. Some have better track records than others and all have good and bad about them. With that said, I started on a POS 72 Polaris Colt when I was like 11 or something...When I could get my own sled, I stuck with Poo, and got into the RMKs, had alot of edge chassis sleds, then switched to doo, then back to Poo, then back to doo, now Cat. Ive got a super brand loyal buddy for Yamaha and they seem like good sleds too. Id say Im a ship jumper....I switched from doo because although they rip when working, when not working, they suck, and unfortunately for me, thats been half the ***gin season. Each time I look for a sled I closely look over every brand without bias, then talk smack about the other 3 once I make my decision, haha.

I'll switch any year to whatever brand has got the goods.

I do miss all the sweet Arctic cat green tho.

If that new 600 Sno X chassis comes with a 1000cc, i'd be all over that.

I have exactly the same amount of loyalty to all brands as they have to me. If brand X looks better, I'm there. Every dog has his Day.

i would rather eat a big bag of crap vs riding anything other than doo.......ok not really, brand fans are gay as hell, brand haters are even more gay

I'm very brand loyal not just in sleds and gear but all my hobbies. I've found over the years that companies will accasionaly make a POS but if you like the product you'll find yourself looking past that POS and finding something that the company makes that works for you.:beer;

I have ridden Cat for 14 Years know. I would jump ship if Cat dropped the ball (like they did in the late 90’s) I almost bought a 670 Summit and a 700 Yamaha mountain Max. But waited until they came out with the 1M and have been happy ever since. All of my tools are set up for Cats so I don’t want to buy new tools. With the M-Series I see no reason to change. And the Doo guys are sooooooooo annoying I would hate to be associated with them. LOL:eek:

But i would buy another brand if it was that much better!!!!!!

not loyal at all i guess you could say.

i have tuning stuff for cat, yamaha, and polaris.
owned three of the four brands of sleds, and three of the four brands of wheelers.

currently own polaris sleds,
love my new can am 800 ho wheeler!

We're annoying ? What could be more annoying than lime green clothes ? Seriously I am considering an 09 Arctic PLR (parking lot racer), if there is somebody racing back and forth through a crowded parking lot you can bet it is lime green, but boy are they impressive in the lot, GO DITCH BOOGER !

not brand loyal, shop loyal !!

I have been a loyal POWERHOUSE MOTORSPORTS rider for 14 years now. I am not brand loyal, although I am a cat fan. I am DEALER loyal !!!!!! I have a GREAT realationship with a shop and will LOYALLY buy what ever color sled they sell. I am a cat guy because they were a cat dealer. I may soon be a skidoo guy if they become a skidoo dealer. I believe it is much more inportant to find a shop that KNOWS what they sell!!!! And are not affraid to treat the customers with some respect.

Let me put it this way...

I don't know if I would be considered 100% brand loyal, but I plan to keep riding (and buying) RMKs until I get a reason to switch. This has been an extremely reliable sled so far, so my next look will be at Polaris again, if they drop the ball with whatever I get at that time, then there is a decent Ski-Doo dealer just a mile away...:eek:

For the time, I love my Polaris :cool::D
