Are there any GOOD Full Face Helmets??

I am looking to buy a new helmet this year and am looking at the Full Face kind this time. Seems they would have a bigger field of vision as opposed to the goggles.

Anyone had any experience with what kind will or will not work well and stay relatively fog free?

Thanks for your input :beer;

Wore a polaris full face years ago..., had to get a plug in heated shield to keep it from fogging on cold days.

I have the polaris full face and love it. Like said above, I wouldn't buy one without the electric shield. Ride with 2 guys that have very good full face without the electric shield and they fog up. The cord is kind of a pain but you get used to it easier than riding blind from fog.:D

bv2s made for ski doo never fogs, always warm, dont buy from ski doo there too much money, you can get them new on ebay from $200.00 to $300.00

I have a Polaris AF-1 helmet. I have never had a fogging problem. I have worn it trail riding in MN and out west in the hills. I have had a few full face helmets and this is by far the best one I've worn.

I normally wear an open face with goggles, but on really cold days my wife and I both have Polaris AF-1's that work pretty good. We do get some fogging on the sides if we stop moving, but not near as much as we had with other full face helmets.

OK, I'll be the first on this post to admit I own a Modular (NMFH).
I wear it on the nasty days or when it's just too cold to wear an open face with a pair of goggles.
The field of vision is MUCH bigger with a full face compared to goggles hands down.
You don't have to spin your head all the way around like Linda Blair in the exorcist to see what's next to you and with a damaged neck that is huge.
The only bad thing is that it is real heavy and makes my neck sore after a day's ride.
Maybe only because I've had a broken neck and had it fused though.

I've NEVER had it fog on me...period. The breath mask is tough to get used to but it makes all the exhaled, moist air exit out the sides of the helmet and away from the clear shield.

If they could make it half the weight I would say it was the perfect helmet for a full face.
I bought it from a Ski Doo dealer when they first came out with them and the only color you could get them in was yellow!
I might even get a new one now that I can get it in black.
It's the original "Modular". (as in the "M" in NMFH);)

Another for the Ski-Doo Modular 2 helmet. On cold days you can not beat it.
Vision is excellent, the clear/tinted lens is a plus, all intake and exhausted air is shot to the sides, also no fogging (at least for me).
They have come down in price I see ebay has them for about $190 buy now I paid a couple of years ago from the dealer $239.00 that was after buying/ trying/returning 3 other types of helmets from Dennis Kirk.

all modular helmuts are good for a laugh from the rest of us up on the mountain:)

IMO they belong on flat land cruising the fields or trials. They typically get fogged up so if you are dying to have one then get an electric shield. In the mountains they really dont serve much purpose you will hate it and just buy another helmet. It the mountains its warmer, more snow, you are not travelling at 100mph, and you will be sweating your bag off once you are stuck it will be perma-fogged and you will be mad/cold the next time the snow fills it up.

Ride 1 hour with goggles/mx-helmet and field of vision no longer becomes an issue.

So really it depends on where you are planning to ride.
