Are the 600 crank pins welded?

Not talking about long rod motor, I have a 13 pro rmk and was curious if crank pins are welded or just press fit? Thanks for any help!

They are press fit with 50 tons of force.

Welding has certain special-application uses... but is not needed in 99% of the engines out there.

Welding is handy when a crank is no longer "tight" fitting with the press and needs extra help.

Thanks mountain horse, had a belt break at about 8200rpm and was concerned when it stopped abruptly that the crank may have a chance of spinning? Prolly silly but just curious

If concerned, you could check crank phasing with a degree wheel and dial indicator. The 800 doos were famous of being out of phase a couple of degrees from the factory. Can be the key difference between a hot stocker and a below average performer.
