Arctic Cat Z120 Drive Train Issue

Hi guys, I put some tires on my sons snowmobile this summer so he can get some use out of it and he rode the crap out of it. The last time out we had to park it once the hi fax started getting warm but once he rode it again there appeared to be some major slippage. After looking and not claiming to be the most mechanically inclined person it appears the power is all there to the big sprocket and chain but once there is any significant weight on the track it does not transfer. It looks fairly easy to disasemble but wondering if anyone can pinpoint my issure before I tear into it or take it someplace. Thanks a bunch!!!

Sounds like the track is too loose.

Does it make a ratcheting sound when applying the throttle?

Pick up the rear of the sled, and see if the track "hangs down" more than an inch below the hyfax

Sounds like either the track is slipping on the drivers (nubs on track or driver could be worn or the track just too loose).
The chain tension could be too loose as well which may cause the chain to slip on the rear sprocket when weight or resistance is applied. Also make sure the teeth on the rear sprocket arn't worn down or off. I also understand there can occasionally be some slipping or racheting in the clutch when there is not enough horse power to overcome the resistance of the weight/drag on the sled. I am new to working on the 120, but these may be a couple things to look at.
