Anyone thinking of jumping ship from Doo or Polariis for one of these?

I'm sure they will work well.

Seems the manufacturers are playing a game of leap frog.
The "new" sled gets all of the attention.
Last year the Pro
This year the kitties
One would guess Doo will have another chassis in the next 2 years?

I have heard doo will have a new one next year. I certainly won't consider one until i can ride one and i guess cat isn't doing demo rides! so I know i'll stay with my Doo!!

Was thinking about one of them for my wife she can't decide between AC and a Pro but definitely wont be buying a cat if they are not doing demos, makes me wonder if they are not that confident in their product??

The 800's may fill the bill for the loyal, the 1100's are heavy!!
Distinct lack of info at showing is disconcerting.....almost looks promising!?

Visited with Cat dealer today.
Was considering one.
He wasn't 100% sure he would take them on for next year.
Sounds like Cat is up to the old "Cram as much product down the dealers throat as possible & then cram some more" trick.
Not considering one any longer.

That is sure stupid business.:face-icon-small-dis

anyone else think cat went more for the 4 stroke market and left the 2 stroke guys hanging??? sure they had to make the new chassis heavier than it needed to be for the 2 stroke to make it fit both motors. would have liked to have seen a seperate chassis for both then maybe the 2 stroke would have been something to look at. same weight or more than the previous chassis is not an advancement if you ask me. was really hoping the rumors of a 420ish sled would have been true, but after riding my pro which is only about 20 pounds lighter than my modded M was theres no way i want to add weight. was really hoping the new ac was gonna bring me back, miss my kitty kat, but i'll be sticking with my pro. no dissappointments there!!!!

I don't think they had a choice

I have no facts to back it up, but I think it is because Cats 800 isn't anywhere close to the EPA regulations. How I understand it, it is an across the board thing. So Cat had to build 2 4s to make up for the 1 2S. I guarantee Cat would have sold more M600s than they will NA M1100s, but needed another 4s in the lineup to average out there EPA numbers.

The funny thing is though the numbers still won't balance, because who in the right mind is going to buy a NA 1100. When the competition has a 600 class sled that is over 100 lbs lighter. The EPA is just screwing cat out of business!

My brother is the service manager for a dealership that up until just a couple years ago was a cat dealer. He said that cat was just too much of a pain to deal with because of the "cram more machines down the dealers throat then they'll ever be able to sell" mentallity. He also said that when cat came out originally with the 1100 4-stroke, that when his mechanics went to "cat school" all cat wanted to talk about was the 4-stroke because that was where the future was (their words). I hope it isn't true, but I think cat is phasing out all their 2-strokes and soon will be another yamaha. I've always thought this is what would happen, but haven't been wanting to SEE it happen. The hp potential and reliability from the 4-stroke definitely is a great thing, but I'm still not willing to add 100lbs to get it. To me, lighter weight is ALMOST more important than hp. It's just so much more fun to ride if it doesn't completely beat the snot out of you because of how much muscling around you have to do with a heavy sled.

If money didn't matter, I'd go 4-stroke in a minute, but I'd have more money into lightening up the sled than the MSRP of the sled to begin with.
