Could just be my wishful thinking, but I look at '19 and especially '20 model year as the rebuild and settle out years. The pre-season '18 mtn cat did very well. Cat did very well with demo's available for the Alpha in '19. No demo's available for the '20. Corporate settles down , takes a breath appraises the turn out of the pre season sales and now is ready to kick open the doors and let loose a new model. Hopefully in January and hopefully 850+ cc 180 hp monster.
But it could also just be my wishful thinking...

Cat said in a comment on Instagram that they had something big coming. There's pics of a oneski patent floating around to so maybe that's it.

600s are a huge market everywhere else though. Need to have a strong 600 class sled to be competitive as a sled manufacturer in general.

Thats no joke, As westerners we always feel like the biggest baddest sleds are all that matter when the reality, majority of sleds are not what we ride or even care about.

shaved down (20 pounds) 600 block with 145 horse and shot start would turn some heads.
the 05 M7 turned a lot of heads back when the competition was heading to big-bore-ville....
