Arctic Cat belt

Tried to search but couldn't come up with anything substantial...

Who all has run an arctic cat 048 belt on thier Pro? I got over 800 miles on the factory belt and wondering if others came close to that or broke even money wise by running the Arctic Cat belt...

I just use the stock Polaris belt. Buy a new one at the beginning of every season, just to freshen up performance. Never had any problems but am still curious how the guys that run a Cat belt have faired.

don't blame you, 800 miles isn't great. I would say 1800 is. if you can buy a belt for 1/2 or a third of the cost why wouldn't you if it was at least close to the same quality. I know I run gforce belts. won't pay 150+ for a belt if I don't have to. i'm paying less than $60...

I have had good luck with the cat belt on my 11 pro, it only lasts probably 80% as long as the stock belt but about half the price. I will continue to run it on my 14 pro when the stock one is toast. I usually get 300-400 miles out of the cat belt and 500-600 out of the poo belt. The only thing I noticed with the cat belt is you have to adjust your deflection a little more often.

I got 125 miles on the stock 1115 belt right out of factory.
Got 1100 miles on the 048 after that to finish the season.

The 048 is a great belt at half the price.

Who in their right mind would want to run a belt for 1800 miles??
With rubber loss and stretch, the loss of performance would be extremely noticeable. New belt every season or 1000 miles for me.

Being a cheap *** on drive belts is not cool IMO

Ever have a belt break and take out a crank shaft? OR a set of clutches.

Correct me if I am wrong but the cat guys that I ride with are lucky to get 300 miles out of a cat belt. They have always have been know for blowing belts.

Good quality belts all the way.....

If I were blowing a certain brand of belt I would not be running it. That is not the case with the cat belt, I would like to support the brand that I ride but $170 dollars for a belt is rediculous. To me it is no different than a person running aftermarket parts or different oil in there sled instead of polaris stuff. Maybe if there price point was comparable or if the product was far superior to others it would be different. The math just dont work out for me running the poo belt.

That would be because cats clutches SUCK !!! Not because the belts are lower grade quality.
