i own both a 2006 apex mtn and a 2008 nytro mtx. both these sleds have apex skids and 162 maverick tracks. was out on 16th in about 1 and a half feet of fresh. i rode both sleds back to back in untouched powder in meadows comparing how they both ride and carve. there is no way that my nytro even comes close for smooth s carving. the dynamics are so different.the apex almost feels like it will fall over in deep snow with very little effort while the nytro is almost too rider forward and requires more input to pull over and feels like it wants to stand up. i would like to hear input from other riders who have ridden both and can compare honestly.

it did carve well with the stock track but i felt like traction was an issue.also have you ever ridden them back to back?
I have ridden both back to back i felt the nitro very hard to ride.Did not like it felt like every move i made the was to much and the steering wouldn't work for me. Then i had to ride a nitro for a whole day 2 feet of fresh by lunchtime i was having so much fun i didn't want to get off it. Deep pow the steering is somthing you have to get use to. Is it better than my apex????? Depends on the rider.
That is what I think. Same sled, very different opinions. As for me, the Nytro suits me fine. The Apex feels huge by comparision.

Came off a cat 1M chassis (fully modded w/1150 cutler) Rode a few T-APEX's maybe 6 hrs in total but allways perferred my 1M. It has taken me 400 km's to finally get use to my NYTRO and really starting to like the sled.
i think when you only have one sled without the other you tend to adapt to the one you have and it's all good. when both are together, you notice the difference right away. i think the correct setup on the nytro is a fine line and the apex is more forgiving. having owned the apex longer and had time with the sweet tune of this engine, i must admit she still gets more love.
