Apex turbo help

My 2006 apex with bd turbo has an issue. After sled sits overnight or longer than an hour I get a low oil light after starting. I shut down sled and restart and it's fine. I have tried twice just letting sled idle to see if light goes out but after prolly 20 secs the sled shuts down and gives "no oil" code. Again, if I turn key off then restart it's fine.
My worry is that the oil pump is bad allowing oil to leak into block then cavitates or something.
What's up?
Thanks in advance!

I cannot believe nobody posted on this to help you. Sorry I overlooked it myself.

The Boondocker oil res has a prefilter in the res. You should take the res out and make sure the cone shaped filter is not plugged.

If you have ever done or anybody else has ever done motor work on that sled because of engine trouble then it is very probable that the cone prefilter is plugged.

This has been an issue for those that do not know the prefilter exists. I completey remove mine every year when I change the oil just to make sure it is comepletely free of any particles of metal. This also assures me that my motor is still not having any issues.

Hope this helps.

oil drain

based on what you are saying I think your oil pump may be worn out or you have lost an o ring. it sounds like your oil is draining into the sump when you start it it will run for a while before the sensor will shut it off. by starting it the return side of the pump would put the oil back in the tank so it can feed the presure side.
the down side is that its a choire to get the oil pump out of the engine (at least while in the sled). the good part is the o rings and the rebuild kit for the oil pump are not expensive.
as said in the post prior check the filter screen in the tank and the feed line to be sure there are no obstructions, I dont think that will be it as a plugged screen will useually cause problems at rpm not idle.. hope this helps. julio
