apex starter wont engage

went out this morning to start my stock apex and the starter wouldnt engage.. fuel pump would run and just a click when i turned the key to start.....after an hour or so i tried again and it turned over and started to problem....just wondering if any one else ever had this issue?? any help would be appreciated.....

Check the plug in that goes to the solenoid, it get corroded and causes a failure.

was it stored outside?if so the starter could have been frozen.

Yes I have seen quite a few with corroded connections at the soloniod clean them up and or replace the solonoid

yes it was stored outside overnight in -20temps.....the hood fell off yesterday in revelstoke and it filled with snow b4 i could get to a spot to stop without getting planted so maybe some moisture got in there....
