Apex secondary freeplay

New to me stock 06 Apex with reverse (1400 miles probably 800 with reverse).. Got to fooling around with the belt and noticed A LOT of front to back play in the secondary (not side to side) Chain is tightened per manual. My hope/guess is that it has to do with how the reverse works. For example if I take a tape measure to one of the 3 bolts on the secondary near the spring it moves about 1.5"

Been told it's normal.. Just want to be sure.

Mine does that too, thought it was a little weird at first but I was told that's normal 2

Thanks man.. I searched but probably used the wrong wording..

It is engineered into the lower gear set, helps to apply reverse. Made me nervous till I changed out my track and drivers(seen how it works)
