apex seat on rx-1?

Has anyone tried to put an Apex seat on an RX-1 and if so how did it fit or what modifications did you have to make. Thanks

Only thing you have to do is cut the fuel tank shroud to fit the taller seat. I have it on mine.

Should be it, just trim the fuel tank shroud. Put one on my Vector, that was all I had to do.

How much did you have to trim the tank cover and is the different seat worth the money? Do you sit up quite a bit higher? Thanks

The Vector seat is the same as an RX-1 correct? If so then when yamaha had the Vector Mt. SE in 2007 it had the Apex seat and tunnel on it. The seat to me would be a big difference for a few reasons. 1. you're sitting up higher 2. narrower so your legs are bowed the entire time 3. easier to put a knee on the seat while standing 4. storage

2.25" up from the center of the tank cover and taper it to the lines in the tank cover on each side then the apex seat will fit perfect.

Apex seat is a good seat for height, and storage.
