anyone had problems with bending rails. tryed straightening them but cant seem to get the track to ride straight now. rubs on the right side drop bracket. cant tell if anything else is bent do you guys think new rails will fix the problem. are there aftermaket rails that are better than stock also.

Have a complete stock skid out of a Mtn Vector that is a 162 (would bolt right in). Give me a call and don't be so hard on stuff!

I don't think I'd try bending it back and riding it. I'd say you're gonna have to bite the bullet and buy some take-off/used rails or get some from Ice Age. Pull the skid and look the rails over real good, you should be able to see if they're both bent or if it's just one.

you can see naked eye before straightening that they were both bent. it bent by the rear crosshaft so it pulled both of the rails over. its bent like a U. im not sure that the rails are the only problem. the back bumper kinda sits crooked now also. tunnel might be tweaked. spec told me if the tunnel is bent insurance company would prolly total it. if thats the case do i buy it back and mod the piss out of it or let them keep it. bad deal sled only has 75 miles on it. havnt even got two try it out in good snow. i also noticed the right side driver is catching on the side of the track window, i believe cause the track is not aligned and not running straight. lets here all your guys imputs. you think rails will fix it. need to get this girl in some snow again:face-icon-small-sad

If they total it out the buy back on it will be high I bet. Probably $4-5K. Any shop would be willing to give them that, then they'd buy a used tunnel cheap, throw it on there, and sell it for $6K, easy money.

Everybody who runs yammi rails NEEDS to put another cross brace (5/8 dia AL rod) next to the bumpstops. Takes out most all of the flexing and firms the whole deal up to resist bending bigtime. This mod is a must. Just fab up a rod with the ends tapped 3/8-16 the exact length between the rails, and drill 2 3/8 holes bolt in and u are done.....Note: put it low on the rail, between the lower ribs.....:beer;

i had seat and every thing off you cant even see any stresses in the tunnel not a scratch in paint or aluminum for that matter. i just want to make sure if i put the new rails on that i still wont have a problem with the track not running straight,and hitting on the rear drop bracket.
