hey guys i was curoious if anyone has ditched the rad behind the brake and went with a cooler under the rear of tunnel instead. is there any weight loss? does the temps stay cooler or hotter? is it a fair job changing the plumbing up. thought it'd might be a good way to ditch some weight and gain better cooling i can;t see it doing much since its right behind a hot brake rotor.

also if u got any other simple ideas to ditch some weight and make things cleaner, simpler feel free to post. turbo is out of question cause i'm takin vacation instead so i'm trying to do simple, effective and budget friendly work on my apex.

cheers
Spenser

I ran without one for a whole season on a stocker and didnt add any other coolers and had no issues at all.....no codes either. And a hose from a RX1 fits like a glove.....

I dont even see a 27...check a 03 which is what I had laying around and it fit right on.

i bent that rad. on my old MPI apex. poped a hole in it. so i ditched it and just put a plastic pipe nipple inbetween the two hoses. no problem with overheating at all, just think about it, how much does that fan run anyway? mine ran very rarly. rad. delete will get rid of a few pounds too.

thanks guys. my main concern is that i will be able to keep it cool in low snow or icy conditions as i do come across these from time to time
