Apex popping when coming up on boost

Turbo apex popping when going into boost aproaching 6k 7k leans out and wont run. This morning I unloaded it Wouldn't rev past 6-7k air fuel guage starting creeping up 16.5ish below 6-7k air fuel is approx 12.5. So I parked it back in the trailer rode another one 4-5 hours later came back to the truck got it back out of the trailer this time it didnt do it. ran fine air fuel 12.5 throughout the power band ran fine for 30-40 mins then started doing the exact same thing. Any idea's? I've checked all my clamps on the throttle bodies intercooler etc all are tight. All the connections are good. No check engine codes or anything, any ideas is helpful. Thanks

what kind of fuel controller are you running? IF a pure logic/attitude/dobeck box (credit card style) start by checking the air tube from that...If it has holes in it it will do the same thing...

Also, check charge tube, as it could be getting lots of air by...each could be intermittent issues...

check all parts of the exhaust manifold and flex joint in that kit sounds like a leak and get stage 8 locking hardware only way to keep bolts from backing out.

I would check the air tube thing from the pure logic box...where it connects to the box and where it connects to the "T" Those little tubes are a pain in the ***

Most likely a leak in the boost system. Have also had the airtube from the logic box get kinked. Have also had a crack in the intercooler, couldn't really see it either because it didn't open except when under pressure. Another thing to check is the connector where the logic box plugs into the wiring harness, have had that get wet and do some cross connecting. All of the above can cause the misfiring when coming into boost. Don't run it hard till you get it figured out, can cause it to run lean and burn the motor down.

with an interminat problem like that and a lean condition you should check vacuum lines and map sensor for water(ice) boost leaks cause rich conditions. controller is not adding fuel correctly probably from ice in lines blocking pressure to controller. after your sled warmed in trailer the ice melted and then froze later creating problem. cant think of anything else that would create your problem. good luck

pressure transducer

I had the same problem. The pressure transducer gets wet inside and craps out. When it craps out numerous things can happen such as "No fueling at boost" which is right around 6000 rpms---it will just puke and pop. It can also cause "excessive fuling at idle"

change it out----if thats not it, at least you will have a spare when this does happen

Yeah, moisture in the boost sense line to the programmer, or in the programmers boost pressure sensor itself will create havoc.
Also, an intermittent ground lead connection for the programmer too.
