apex popping and wont hold rpm

still no fix, checked all the hoses and connections. The throttle bodies are tight to the engine, intercooler is tight to the throttle bodies. I checked all the wiring, I dont know where to go from here???????

Well.....I know how mechanically inclined both you and Paul are. So if you 2 mechanical geniuses cant figure this out, it 100% leads me to believe its electrical. Which was my first thought initially  I hope its not, for the sake of $$$ and time to chase an electrical ghost. What do you think Luke? Ive been in your shoes alot lately. Just screams electrical to me...

did you try hooking up regulated supply to your turbo and pressure test the system....I do this 2 or 3 times a year to make sure everything is good...usually 20psi is what i run it to.....I just us a hose and clamp it where the air filter goes on with a 2 x 1/4 bushing clamped inside the other end with a valve...hook my small air compressor up and slowly increase the pressure until my boost gauge reads 20psi.....

did you check your bov if its sticking or stuck open it will create a similar prob i know a guy had the same prob last year on here & thats what it was.

Luke, I'm assuming you are running the stock fuel pump? Does he have some kind of boost referenced fuel pressure regulator anywhere inline? Like maybe on the return line to the tank?

If this isn't the case, I tend to agree with Nate. You are in the same boat I am and chasing an electrical problem. Still having trouble with my idle.

Are you running one fuel pump or two?
Are you running a second set of fuel injectors?

I crashed last year, jamming snow into my engine compartment. Snow got into a connector that supplied power to my second set of injectors. The snow in the connector melted, froze overnight separating the female part of the connector tabs inside the connector just enough to open the circuit. The sled would pull to 7000+ rpm then pop..pop..pop...
It drove me nuts trying to figure it out, of course at first we thought it was turbo related, then fuel flow...hence filters etc., then we checked all turbo connections etc.
By disconnecting the conector and tapping it a bit we could see a bit of snow fall out. I melted and dried it out with a hairdryer, then crimped the connector lightly, reconnected it, fired up the sled and when I cracked her open...Holy Hannah!!! the sled shot out from under me. Amazing how fast one forgets...After each attempt at repair I would fire it up and hit the throttle only to have power to about 7000 rpm. Don't forget when you get it figured out and crack it she's gonna pull like a bear!

stock pump, checked the fuel pressure, 42lbs @ idle. 46 to 47 at boost. Ive dried the sled out several times, my trailer is heater and so is my shop.

I have no idea what direction to go now. ran fine the first half of th season now its crap

I have heard if fits from a faulty voltage regulator. Call dave at powderlites and he can tell ya about his troubles and the fix... Good dude to know!!! Also if you have your breather up in the nose of the sled, you should pull the plugs out of the regulator and see how they look. Have you checked your tps? I would say popping is lean, but you can definetely be popping from a electrical problem, and then your a/f readings wont matter.
