Apex Mnt. 15" track verses 16"

I'm trying to decide which Camo extreme to go with, will I notice a lack in climibing ability with the 15" track verses the 16" track ? Will I be noticeably stuck often in deep powder because of 1" in width ? My sled is not boosted but has had the majority of other things done around 550 dry. I weigh 300lbs with gear and helmet.
Will the narrower track make a nimbler/boondocker without a noticeable loss in floatation and climbing ability? I will boost the sled but not for anoher year, while I'm waiting I don't want to be digging the heavy pig out every time I turn around, all experience appreciated. Polaris and Cat have both decided to go with a narrower track and I'm wondering if it's truly a "feelable" change.

You will get a lot of different opinions on this issue. I had the same questions a few years ago and I will tell you what I think after having done the math and setting up and riding both.

You only loose or gain ½ inch per side. This is not enough track on the snow to feel a difference in the way it side hill’s or boondocks. On the other hand, 1 inch over all will provide enough flotation to cause a noticeable difference in flotation and traction if you’re going straight with the track flat on the snow.

IMHO you have nothing to gain by going narrower (I did not notice any difference in snow removal in the tunnel) you may to a very small degree gain a little in flotation and traction by staying with the 16. All of my experience was done on boosted sleds so keep that in mind.:D
