im running a .063 shim with a gasket on each side,How much boost is safe on pump fuel?.Would like to run up to 17-18 lbs,at what boost leavel will i need bigger injectors, fuel pump.Been running 12-14 on av/pump.Thanks

17 or 18? You're gonna need at least 24lbs to keep up with what I'm building...I guess you'll be able to play in the bottom lands with the women and children at 17-18lbs.:face-icon-small-win

ahaha... depending on whos kit and ability to play with timing.. straight av gas or 50/50 110 is my bet on fuel needs. but again, depends on the kit, some stuff running that boost is gonna just be pushing hot air.

Why not just swap to the fuel control like NM is doing onw.. then its simpler, and you just go extra injectors.. might be a few more $$... but tuning the low end with bigger sticks can be a PITA... and depending on the box your running, might not even be possible to tune in larger ones with certain boxes, so if you have to upgrade that... just saying things and throwing ideas out there before you head down a path and realize its not the best idea.

Ya NMs set up looks like its going to work well! Ill see what comes of it after next year,Sounds like the stock injectors are going to work for now, just need to get a pump, and regulator.

With head shim and good fuel. I have one buddy with 4000 miles 2000 under 18#s boost head shim and race fuel 110 some of the time running 50/50.

I do not know where the cut off point is but I run and everybody I know runs an aftermarket fuel pump.

Unless your running over 20 psi, as long as you have a decent fuel pump you don't need larger injectors on the Apex.

How is this possible? I'm told by most he stockers are only good to 14-15psi above 7K ft.

What do you suggest doing for fuel system/management?

I should clarify with stock inernals and a head shim. If it were me I would run up to 25 psi with a stock motor and head shim with 116 octane. As long as you stay away from detonation a stock motor can take the power. But at high boost levels when you detonate even a little, that's when things go bad really quick.

So you never really said...how are you pushing the stock injectors that far?

I'm not talking about stock injectors, just the motor. That's one of the advantages about the Apex over the Nytro where your limited to about 15 psi. I've rode 20 psi several times on my sled with stock injectors and and know several others who have done the same. Stock injectors and a good fuel pump.
