With an aftermarket pipe, do you have to re-install the heat shield. Looks like an easy way to drop a pound or 2.

Probably shouldn't have too. Good way to test it, is get the sled up to normal temp in the garage and see how much heat the pipe is kicking off without your heat shield on. I put a hidle pipe on the ol lady's phazer with no heat shield and have had 0 problems..

I would get that plastic and foam on fire and you will be wishing for a fire extinguisher besides helps support the rear of the seat

Thanks for the info. It helps. Is there a heat shield on the top and bottom of the exhaust in the back???
