Apex electrical question

Quick question,
On the electrical wiring to the throttle-kill switch. There are two circuits one is the kill switch itself (which needs to be completed for starting), and the other is a safety switch that works in conjunction with the throttle I am assuming. My question is on the second switch, does the circuit need to be completed to start or not? Hope someone can help thank you.

Yes it does they are both a normally closed loop.

You just put it in line with either the black or black white, open to kill
