So my chaincase exploded tonight on the ride back to the truck. Chain and chaincase parts all over the side panel. Thinking I'll need an entire new assembly with new gears, chain and all misc hardware. Any guess on what this little setback will run me?

Oh, and this was the first time I've been towed w my boosted sled, always thought it would be something else that failed...

same thing happened to my on the nytro a while back. parts just got in today. chain, case cover, gears, gasket and some other odd & ends came to about 4 hundo.

good luck.

Last time that happened to me it broke both sides of the chaincase, needed gears, chain, and since we had it apart we replaces the five bearing that involve the drive train.

The shop was over priced but it cost me about $1100 by the time I got the sled back.

Chain Case Parts - Ball Park -- $450

Chain -- $125

Bearings - - $150

Gears - - $80

Labor?? depends

Thanks for the quick replies.

Hoping I just need the chain case cover, but have a bad feeling I'll need both sides. Just glad we finally got the beast back to the trailer.

Tomorrow I'll tear it apart and assess the damage.

While I'm at it, any suggestions on gearing for 10lbs boost?
