Did boost leak test found and fixed a lot of leaks.the one i am having problems with is a leak on the engine side of the efi the boots will not stop the leaks with the stock clamps (even with the spacers out) has any one had this problem? Is there a better clamping system than stock?

Another thread about these crappy clamps going Roest gave this link. They look legit to me. My cheesy regular hose clamps are always popping off or breaking and I am sure they leak

Those clamps are for the intercooler to throttle body if that is what your talking about

ya i will be getting those but the ones that are giving me problems are on the engine side of the throttle body

leaks

the only real fix i have found for those is to put them on with a touch of silicone. if you dont use to much you will be able to get them off if you ever have to. How much pressure are you testing them with? they usually hold to 14 or so.

20 psi is the pressure i am testing with. I run 17-18 at 6500 ft

Have to try the silicone. Popped mine off today at 15#. Mine were glued with 3m adhesive too. wonder if those cheesy @$$ clamps get worn out.
3M Scotch-weld
Think i might try some of this stuff out. Held 18000# for 1 hr with only 7cm of glue. Surely it could hold 20psi with 6" of glue.

I dont EVER want these to come off again. Next time they need off ill cut them off and buy new ones.

ya mine has now held 19.1 but i will be having to buy new ones. these are not coming off with out a fight !!! :fencing: but i have had the sled 4 years now and if it was not for these leaking or coming off i would have never messed with them.

Yeah i never had a problem till the last 2 rides with these boots. After doing some research there going back together with GOOP.
