Anyway to tell if 174x3" is old or new batch?

Have to send my new 174x16x3" back to the seller, the track is faulty right out of the box. I got a new one getting shipped out tomorrow. Is their a part # or vin# on these things that I can check to make sure the one I got coming isn't old stock? I've heard numerous times camoplast had a bad batch of tracks.

Thx!

pics...whats wrong?

Nick just called me, said that a bunch of the paddles are installed backwards. Goes in non uniformed fashion, 5 rows backward 7 normal, 2 backwards 5 normal etc etc. He said he's never seen anything like it, he showed it to Chad and he also said that it was whack. I haven't even seen it myself:face-icon-small-con

Unreal...Last year I had two 162's that were junk. Second one Pulled it outta the box and the paddles just looked loooose sitting there....the rubber lam process just wasnt right.

Got a new 174 sittin in the shop and it looks perfect, was built in september so I know its fresh. Its not going on till later:face-icon-small-sho

who did you get it from?? FA?

Got it from Michelle, she got it from WPS, now the one she's sending out tomorrow is from Marshall Distributing as WPS is back ordered.

There goes alot of freight for nothin cause someone at camo had there sunglasses on? They need a new quality control guy....1000's of hours wasted because of the junk they have been sending out the last couple years....

You camo guys reading this?? Fire the quality control people please!!!

On the 3" tracks the first 2 batches of them were junk, the third batch was good. I ordered one last year and paid $1050.00 for it. I was told about the batches and was told there is no way to tell if mine was 1st, 2nd or 3rd batch. The $1050.00 was a discounted price and I was told no warranty. Luckily I have had zero issues with it.

If they were the Tracks USA "No Warranty" tracks, they were from the initial production run and a lot of them were bad. Not to say yours is. If it is you will know quite quickly.

I know Michelle gets real busy and sometimes she is going so fast that it spins the paddles backwards on them when she ships them out.

The price was $1050.00 not the regular $1300.00 at that point. She gave me the option to take the track at the discounted $1050.00 but she could not say which batch it was from because she said there was no way to tell. I was furtunate to get a good one, I have 400 miles on it, boosted (half in spring conditions), and have not had any damage.

Yes, if you have 400 miles you are golden. Especially if they are boosted. Guys that I know of that were suffering from de-lamination were seeing it really quick. Usually before 200 miles.

Well I called marshall distributing this morning, they looked at the part # and say they got all new stock Dec 5. So lets hope thats the case:)

UPDATE: FAWK U CAMOPLAST

Well after patiently waiting for my second brand new 3" track to show up, I get a call from Vernon Motorsports. The new track that showed up is ALSO messed! So I get a contact number for a guy directly at camoplast, get him pictures and serial numbers, he confirms, yup both of the tracks are completely not right. So I talk back and fourth with him over the last 2 days as he said he would take care of it for me and get a new track sent directly to the dealer where my sled is to minimize the down time (already been weeks). Well I get a call this afternoon and basically get told to go fawk myself since I'm Canadian and the track was bought in the usa. So now I have to order another track and get it sent out to me if I want this dealt with in a timely fashion. His suggestion was that the 2 BRAND NEW screwed tracks have to be shipped back to the dealer, the dealer has to send them back to the distributor and the distributor can send back to the manufacturer. Then they can send the dealer a replacement, then the dealer can send me a new one. I asked him ya well why are you guys even sending out BRAND NEW tracks with zero quality control and then making the customer/user suffer?? His answer was there is a team looking into the incident to see how many of these tracks are out there, and R@D says you could probably still run the track. Well guess what, I aint paying a couple grand to put on a track that is sketchy at best in a good scenario that isn't even to manufacturer specs! Anyway, rant over at least I got a pro to ride in the mean time. If you got a new 3" track check your lug pattern, all the lugs should have the same forward profile.

Ya , its a joke , did they tell you that you have to pay for the shipping of the bad track back .

They definitely didn't say they were going to pay for it. I'll take the return shipping cost up with the dealer that sold me the track, I don't think I should have to pay for shipping on a brand new product, three times:face-icon-small-dis

Wow, thought Camoplast was a stand up company. I guess not. Add it to the list of companies to boycott lol ! Er or wait maybe not LOL. I'd call the dealer and tell them to take care of all the shipping. Its their fault !

You could always show up at the sled shows and make a big scene in front of their booths and roll out that pile of chit, until they fork over your shipping LOL

If not get your lawyer to issue a letter. Works everytime ! I can't believe Camo is acting like this ! What a bunch of punks !

Un rolled mine tonight and it looks fine.....

got any pics of yours yet? Middle paddles or the out side ones?? I dont understand how this could even happen??
