Anyone have pics of this kit installed? I have it coming but wanna get as much out of the way before it gets here. I'm installing on a 2010 Assault, but any pics would help. Thanks.

That looks amazing Dave! I do have a few questions though, when I checked the VE website their pic of the wideboard tunnel kit showed the entire chaincase side below the kit. does that entire side section come with the kit, and how much of the sled has to be dismantled for installation if it is included? Thanks

If the RMK Pro-R doesn't pan out for me this year then that's what I will do to my D8! Looks great!!

I decided yesterday this is the route I'm going. Dave, are the floor boards any wider than stock? It looks like the stock black outer longitudinal bars are replaced with this kit also?

Boards are something like 3/4" wider in front and 1 3/4" in rear and it does replace the outer bars.

Tunnel Sides & Wide Boards

Just saw a kit from "CR Racing" installed by my local dealer on two 2010 163 Dragons. Looks real nice. I could get pics if anybody is interested.

Ya I'm interested, please do so. Can you see if they overlay the tunnel sides or replace them? They would be a good idea if you really screwed your tunnel as polaris won't sell you sides seperate from chassis.

The running boards are the same width as stock in the front and continue the same width to the rear, unlike stock that tapers down in the rear.

The pic on the VE website shows the tunnel side attached to the running board, this is just a example of what it looks like installed. For reference in my pics what you see that is white comes with the kit as well as the boards.

There is no need to remove the track or skid, only the rear skid bolts to install this.

You do have to remove the rear susp brackets as they are now apart of the tunnel sides from VE, right? As well as some of the rivets holding the front susp bracket inside the tunnel?

I will try and get the pics this afternoon and post tonight. These boards replace the tunnel sides. The sides and running boards are an integrated unit. It is an undertaking to do the job. Track & skid, chaincase, driveshaft etc all needs to be taken off. Here is CR's web address crracingcanada.com/osc/home.php

Sorry guys but the sled was gone by the time I got there. I will try over the next few days. I know the guy that owns the sled.

Did you install this kit because of bent tunnel as well?

No, my sled was brand new when I installed the VE boards. I just prefer wider running boards.

As for the CR kit, I would contact Kinser he wasn't very happy with the product.
