Anyone use Joomla?

If you don't know what it is you certainly haven't used it.

If you do can you pm me I have some very newbie questions and am getting seriously frustrated.

I am trying to set up my first joomla site, I have joomla installed, I can get into the admin section, I have uploaded the template I want and have made it the default, but I can't get anything but the "parked" page. I can't get an index page to show up, so I can't edit it.

Joomla is a CMS for web design. It designs the pages for you based on your settings and you publish articles and it handles the layout on the fly.

The reason BO got elected is due to the internet and THAT is the reason for my newest website. I plan on building a political activist website meant to let the people take back "our" government. I have a bit of content and have the forums up for comments, if any of you guys would like to help by trying out the forums I would appreciate it. Anyone that wants to help with content would be welcomed as well.
