Anyone up for putting some miles on tomorrow?

I'm thinking of heading to Jones Pass out of Longmont tomorrow to do some break in miles. Anyone up for putting some miles on? I was up there Saturday with the gf and there was enough to do some easy riding as long as you were careful and it looked like they got about 6-12 inches today.

I might............I never been to Jones Pass. Do you know the area well? What kind of sled do you ride? I'm up the road in Berthoud with the Evel Knievel special

Jones is not the smoothest terrain. Couldn't get above 5k on the rpm last week. Not without sacrificing my a-arms

No, not very smooth but there are a few spots to cruise around. It was good to just get out and put on some miles.

How far did you have to go from the parking lot to get away from the snow packed roads? We went to look at it last sat and it didn't look very promising.

We rode around just above the treeline. We didn't venture very far from the road though. There's definately not enough snow to rip it up though. It's nothing too exciting but I'm itching to get out.

Have a good time but, be careful. Jones pass is a mine field......even with the bit of snow that is up there. "Alligators" are lurking beneath everywhere to take out an a-arm or two.

Big avy terrain also. Beware all the time.
