Rixter, ever since I can remember I've wanted to do that. The problem is timing, and we haven't ever hit it right. I wish I knew someone that lives in Delta or maybe Eureka that I could call and find out the conditions.
Hatchers, Mike isn't going, it's his anniversary this weekend and he isn't really into the dunes too much anymore.
Hey GMCRMK, I think I know exactly where you're talking, we always park over in the official oasis campground, I think in loop b but I don't remember if that's right. My friend Dean will be driving probably and he has a white E250 ford van. What are you guys going to be in? We'll have to stop by and meet you all, it's always good to meet some other snowesters.
Freak, yeah, it'd be cool to see what kind of monster you ride in the sand, and I'd bet your son is cut from the same block as you. If you're going to be down let me know where you'll be and we'll come by.
There is a good chance I have my wife talked into celebrating a different day.

There used to be a phone number that you could call and get the days forecast from the ranger station out there. It has been to long for me to remember where I found it, but it was pretty accurate and then you know when the snow hits.

Mike, after waking up and looking outside, I'm thinking the same thing. What about Dean though? If you can talk him into snowmobiling instead of going to the dunes, then lets go. I've already planned on taking friday off, so I could go friday and spend the night at the cabin, but whatever. I have to be home early on saturday. I have a wedding reception to go to at 4:45, and I can't be late!! The reception is from 2:30 to 4:45, so I'm already planning on getting there in the nick of time. Karen won't forgive me if I miss it. Let me know what you come up with.
Rixster, thanks for the numbers!! I use to have a number you could call but all it told you is what the current conditions are at 9am that morning, or if you called before that, you'd get the previous days conditions, that's probably good enough but the forecast to plan would be a lot better.

It is an easy decision for me... SNOW.
But I don't like going by myself... Mjunkie is my riding partner but he already made a commitment to go ride sand.
I can always meet up with justdooinit, but I would feel bad if I needed a tow or extra help.
I am sure he and others would be more than willing to help if needed, just a comfort thing relying on people you know.
Dean is your problem jared.
I still have to find a sitter, but its looking like I will be able to ride some pow saturday.
I will know for sure by tommorow.
Killer you are more than welcome to ride with us if you choose to. We will be at the franklin lot Sat. morning I would say 9ish. I have your number and can text or call you with final details on friday night. We will be towing a Rands Roofing enclosed trailer. Can't miss it.

Dude, IT'S KILLING ME NOT TO BE HEADING TO THE SNOW!
But, if I blow this group off again for another pow day (like I already have about 1/2 dozen times this year already) I may be disowned.
So, tear up the hills for me and hopefully I'll get sloppy snow leftovers next weekend.
I'm not decided yet, Mike. Dean is going to the dunes with spank for sure friday and saturday. If I go saturday with you I HAVE to be home early, that is the only reason why I'm leaning toward the dunes. If I go to the dunes on friday, I'll get some good riding in friday and saturday morning and wont be able to walk anyways for more. If I go saturday with you, I'll be cutting your ride short. I'll let you know. Hector just sent me a pm saying he wants to go friday afternoon, so I've got to decide some things and let you know.
Pretty much 99% sure I will be there, even if its by myself.
I have your # also jed, I will post for sure tommorow or give you a call.
