anyone tryed ( or is i possiable)

why would you want to.. I would assume the shaft sizes are different. if your going with new drivers, just get avids.. they are the answer.

Well cause....... have you seen them???? They are awesome, and you know how just the normal avids get pounded to hell?? The AC drivers fit into the windows way better! well its hard to explain but i know the avids on my dad RX1ton look like ****, and the ones on my sled i bought brand new and they look like **** after 2 seasons!!

I was just wondering cause our arctic cat dealer sell them aftermarket too!!

these are them:

I know what they look like.. im curious how old the ones on your dads setup are.. Everyone I know making good power in the yami world runs Avids.. I just picked up a set, they last and are very strong. I know of multiple sleds running plenty of power for 2000+ miles on there avids that look almost brand new. not sure what the deal with your dads are or how they are "pounded".

also, who cares if they look like ****... they are white, so they get all grey and weird looking, but I know all the ones I have seen hold up great and the ones I have are machined IMO way better then the cat ones for fitament especially with fully clipped setups.

and again, im 99% sure the cat shafts are a different size.

if they are black... they arent avids, they are whal bros.. and thye are most likely the same ones I have.. they got white/grey worn plastic all over and the tips are shot to hell.. they DONT last under boost. I had to had to run my track retarted tight with only 10# of poorly tuned boost to keep it from ratcheting with those POS drivers, and yeah, they looked hammered as hell fromconstantly slipping and just being PEICES OF CRAP

ok now we're on the same page, i never could get the names right of the two brands!
even on my 740UB, with a loose track they screwed them selves over!! yeah theres white/gray pounded plastic.........! nm

Run your track too loose you'll kill any drivers. I've see avids come apart too, but it was from rachiting. I have alot of miles on my whal bros with no problems. But if you have the scratch, get avids.

yeah! well half the time its so fricken tight you cant turn it by hand, and then the rest of the time im try to get it just right but it always seems to be tight when i want it loose, and or loose when i want it tighter!! LOL its a losing battlel........ dose free up a lot of horseys though!!

looks like ill be renting sleds this winter,! Buddy of mine talked me into just waiting till i can buy a totally done up nytro, instead of just jumping at 'good deal'!! I was going to put cash down today on a 06 alpine turboed apex, 300HP at 17 pounds, on 50/50, (pump/AV gas) mix,
its a super good deal but HE SAID "you will be sorry"! so im waiting YET another year.......

Avid is making some new drivers very similar to the Cat design....I know for newer Polaris but might make for Doo/Yami if there is enough demand. Also makes getting the shaft out easier without yanking the chaincase.

wahl drivers

I know Avids are good but after being on my 5th sled with Wahl drivers and 300 hp, I'm yet to have a problem. Knock on wood.

they seem to hold pretty much any power.. but only for so long. mine already had around 3000 non boosted miles on them before, so this season they hit almost 4000 miles.. so being shot doesnt suprise me.. Avid is also 5 miles from my house, so he hooked me up with a good deal not more then most pay for wahls.. so I cant complain, they are definately better.

and yes, his new ones are supposed to be a bit better for fittament or whatever you want to call it.

We haven't had any issues with the wahl bros drivers over the years, there fine and have large compresion rings compared to avids. I'm changing a set of avids on a nytro that spun on the shaft.

The cat shaft is 1.7 and the yamy shaft is 1.06" so stock cat drivers won't fit on the yamy shaft.

We make a HD extro driver as well using larger compression rings so they won't spin.

Nother thing i just looked at guys is, its only on the clutch side driver!! ??????? U can pull big pieces of flat plastic off of it???
the T-rx1 i just got has Avids on it!!!!
