Anyone try adding an air box mod to an M1000 after reflash?

I have an 08 M1000, and have been told after it was reflashed to the 09 fuel map, that it was too lean to add any more mods. Has anyone successfully added a BDX or Timbersled to your M1000 without adding a fuel box?
 
I had a TimberSled on a 07 before the reflash and had no problems in Cooke afterwards.

Ive had all the reflashs done and have had no issues. I am running a T/S intake and a NPP can Stock y and pipe. My elevation varies between 2000 and 8000 ft hope this helps
 
I run a 09 m1000 with the timbersled air intake. and D&D pipe combo. I still had to add a cpc fuel pressure regulator to turn the fuel down a bit cuz it was too fat!! I have a fuel controller plumbed in but dont use it, its zeroed out....

I'm running an '08 with speedwerx y pipe pipe and can, bdx airbox and no fuel mods. It bogs horribly. I'm going to try a pressure regulator, what did you end up getting it to run right at?
 
If you go with a bdx kit make sure the hood is nearly sealed. Installed one on my 08 m10. It ran way to lean, didn't burn up but was starved for fuel. It then managed to ingested a bunch of snow/water. When we pulled he pipe off to rebuild the motor almost 2 cups came out of the exhaust. I would sugest a kit wih a little better filter.
